We offer English Language courses to corporate clients as well as government departments and institutions.
Our English language courses are designed to improve an employee’s ability to perform in all four language skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The courses are designed for the client’s needs and within the context of specific corporate needs and are all aligned to the SAQA Unit Standards on the National Qualifications Framework.
The courses can be given either at the Wits Language School or on-site. Courses can be selected from our standard English Improvement programme or they can be tailor-made to cater for the client’s specific requirements. Tailor-made courses can be structured either as intensive over 5 to 10 days, or they can be designed specifically according to the client's requirements: duration, time, venue.
Block Release courses are also offered in the late afternoon/evening from 16h30 to 19h00 twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The English Improvement division has extensive experience in designing and delivering language programmes for corporates, government departments and institutions. We have provided training to the Johannesburg Council, the SABC and the Department of Labour as well as a number of national companies. We are presently involved in providing courses to the University of Pretoria’s Medical School.
