WHAT ARE WE READING...

PJ POWERS: HERE I AM

This is the memoir of PJ Powers (Thandeka – as she is known to Soweto crowds in South Africa), one of our most iconic musicians. Penelope Jane Dunlop is a South African musician who has recorded 15 albums and is well known for her UK chart hit "World in Union" (with Ladysmith Black Mambazo) in 1995. The book is set in the turbulent backdrop of South Africa’s recent political history and is an intimate and funny story of the life and times of this country’s most recognisable and enduring performers. It covers her life story from the time she became famous to the time she was struggling with an alcohol addiction near death experience. This is a must-read for those of you that want to learn more about South African culture and history during and after the Apartheid years.

Here you will be able to hold a baby crocodile, touch exotic snakes and get "up close and personal" with a tarantula all in one day! There is also a zip-line tour which consists of two cable sections which enable you to glide over the crocodile enclosures.
