English for Academic Purposes

English for Academic Purposes

This is an IELTS preparation course. The IELTS exam is a Cambridge-based exam run through the British Council. It is a used by many universities (such as Cambridge, Oxford and Wits) as an entrance criterion for those who do not speak English as their first language. A minimum IELTS test score is also required by certain countries if you wish to immigrate.

We offer a 60-hour part-time course in which we prepare the students for the IELTS exam. This course will also help students prepare for university studies in English.

Students must be at an advanced level in English to qualify for this course. It is offered three or four times per year, according to demand. Contact Us to find out more information on English for Academic purposes. You can also look at our section on how to Register for a Wits Language School Course.
