These courses are offered at NQF level 5, equivalent to first year university level. To enroll you must have successfully passed Grade 12 or equivalent. Courses are aimed at equipping students who have no prior formal training with the necessary practical and theoretical skills.

These courses are offered at postgraduate (Honours) level. To enroll you must have a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in the field. Courses are aimed at equipping students who have prior formal training with relevant advanced practical and theoretical skills.
Students may register for these short courses as stand-alone courses, or alternatively certain courses may qualify as special topics and be credited towards the Honours in Translation and Interpreting offered through the School for Language and Literary Studies (SLLS).
