English as a Foreign Language Teachers

Wits Language School invites applications from suitably qualified candidates who have teaching experience in English as a Foreign Language.

Our English as a Foreign Language courses are aimed mainly at mother tongue speakers of languages like French, Portuguese, Spanish and Chinese. The course runs full-time over seven weeks with six intakes per year.

Language Qualifications

Qualifications may vary for the different positions in the EFL department. In general the following qualifications are required:

• A university degree, preferably in the field of language or education
• Appropriate teaching experience, preferably both nationally and internationally
• Some experience of material development
• Native or near-native English competence

Remuneration

• Dependent on qualifications and relevant experience.
